Dear John

Interview with Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried (Dear John)

The complexities of love are explored as the strength of a young couple's relationship and devotion to one another is tested by forces beyond their control in the romantic drama Dear John. Based on the best selling novel by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook), the film stars Channing Tatum as John and Amanda Seyfried as Savannah. John and Savannah come from different worlds, but through a chance encounter the pair fall instantly in love. They have two wonderful weeks together, but John, a soldier for the U.S. army, must return for his tour of duty. The couple promise to write to each other and through this continuous stream of letters, their love blossoms even more.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried about the last movie that really made them cry, why the art of letter writing is almost dead, and how to get through shooting embarrassing love scenes.
