Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem wasn’t exactly the immediate choice to play the romantic lead opposite Julia Roberts in Eat Pray Love, but once he was cast it made perfect sense. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, Eat Pray Love follows a personal life journey for one woman determined to make things better and more satisfying for herself.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer travelled to Napa Valley in California to talk to Javier about working opposite the mega-watt star and how he connected to the material.
