Green Zone

Interview with Amy Ryan (Green Zone)

Matt Damon reunites with his Bourne director Paul Greengrass for the new action thriller Green Zone. Set in Baghdad, Damon portrays Roy Miller, a warrant officer who helps a senior CIA officer in the search for weapons of mass destruction. Miller is based on real-life Army chief warrant officer Richard (Monty) Gonzales, whose Mobile Exploitation Team was charged with finding WMDs during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Oscar-nominated actress Amy Ryan, who blew audiences away in Gone Baby Gone, directed by Ben Affleck, now teams with Affleck's pal Damon. Ryan plays Lawrie Dane, a journalist trying to get the "real" story on the WMDs.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer chatted with Ryan in New York about working with Damon, the research she had to do to prepare for the role and whether or not we'll see her return to the TV series The Office.
