Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

Guillermo del Toro - Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Interview

Writer, producer and director Guillermo del Toro knows a thing or two when it comes to giving moviegoers a good scare. His latest project, in which he takes on the role of writer/producer, is a remake of a 1973 made-for-television movie. Don't Be Afraid of the Darkis a hair-raising tale of horror about a little girl (Bailee Madison) who is sent to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in the old mansion they are renovating, only to unwittingly unleash malevolent creatures bent on destroying all of them.

Bonnie Laufer from Tribute spoke with Guillermo about his vision for the film, why he likes to see things through the eyes of a child, and what he has up his sleeve next.
