The King's Speech

Helena Bonham Carter - The King's Speech Interview

The lovely and talented Helena Bonham Carter is on a roll. Last month we saw her return as the evil Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and now we're treated to her stellar performance in the The King's Speech playing Elizabeth, the Queen Mum. The movie, which is already receiving accolades and awards, also stars Colin Firth as King George VI of Britain. It focuses on his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist (Geoffrey Rush) who helped the monarch gain the confidence needed to rule the country.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Helena via satellite from London about the daunting task of playing Queen Elizabeth, and the wonderful and loving relationship she shared with her husband.
