Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole 3D

Jim Sturgess (Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole) Interview

Having always wanted to provide a voice for an animated feature, Jim Sturgess got his wish when he landed the lead role in the 3D animated feature, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. Based on the best-selling children's novels, Jim plays Soren, a young barn owl who is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie's, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga'Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie's.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Jim in Los Angeles about his dream coming true, the challenges of voiceover work, and how he related to Soren, the young ambitious owl he plays in the film.
