The Princess and the Frog

Interview with John Musker and Ron Clements (The Princess and the Frog)

Directors John Musker and Ron Clements have given us some of the most beloved Disney animated classics, and are now proud and elated that their latest, The Princess and the Frog, is being released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 16.

The Princess and the Frog tells the story of a beautiful girl named Tiana, a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana. It stars Broadway and movie actress Anika Noni Rose as the voice of Tiana.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer had the opportunity to chat with the two directors in New York about having the chance to return to classic 2D hand-drawn animation, how they prepare in advance for what might be on the DVD and how jumping, slimy frogs played a large part in the look of the film.
