Interview with Lionel Wigram (Sherlock Holmes)

Lionel Wigram has been a huge asset to Warner Brothers. He's the man who first introduced the Harry Potter books to the studio and we all know what happened next. His love for all things Sherlock Holmes inspired him to create a comic book about how he envisioned a movie should be made of the famed detective. He took it to the higher ups at Warner's and they immediately realized he had stumbled upon something great. Hence, the big budget action film Sherlock Holmes was born, with director Guy Ritchie at the helm. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as the brilliant detective, and Jude Law as his trusty partner Dr. John Watson.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Lionel Wigram (who also serves as a producer on the film) in London, England about his involvement with Sherlock Holmes and his hopes that it'll become a big franchise.
