Clash of the Titans

Interview with Mads Mikkelsen (Clash of the Titans)

Already famous in Europe, Mads Mikkelsen first gained wide recognition in North America for his turn as 007's nemesis in Casino Royale, but he's moved on to star in a variety of movies, including the highly-anticipated remake of Clash of the Titans. In the film, Mikkelsen plays Draco, a Greek warrior, skilled fighter and leader of the Praetorian Guard who accompanies Perseus (Sam Worthington) on his epic mission.

The action-packed film shows the ultimate struggle for power pitting men against kings and kings against gods; however the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds in an attempt to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Mikkelsen in Los Angeles about the challenges he faced during filming, how he got his look, the intense training he went through to beef up his body and what he thinks of his talented co-star Worthington.
