Green Zone

Interview with Matt Damon (Green Zone)

Oscar-nominated actor Matt Damon reunites with his Bourne director Paul Greengrass for the new action thriller, Green Zone. Set in Baghdad, Matt Damon portrays Roy Miller, a warrant officer who helps a senior CIA officer in the search for weapons of mass destruction. Roy Miller is based on real-life Army chief warrant officer Richard (Monty) Gonzales, whose Mobile Exploitation Team was charged with finding WMDs during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Damon in New York about working on such an intense project, why it works so well between him and director Paul Greengrass and having the extraordinary opportunity to work alongside the real-life soldiers who served as his co-stars in Green Zone.
