Interview: Mira Nair (Amelia)

Director Mira Nair has brough us yet another sensitive and intriguing drama. With Amelia, she takes a look at the life of the legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, who disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world. Two-time Oscar winning-actress Hilary Swank plays Earhart and the film also stars Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor.

Nair, who loves Canada, decided to shoot the film primarily in Toronto. Tribute had the opportunity to chat with the hardworking director about the film in Los Angeles.
