As Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of the company of dwarves that accompany Bilbo on his journey, Richard Armitage has a huge part in Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. He not only looks the part, but he can lead a group of dwarves in song.

Tribute.ca spoke with Richard in New York about taking on the role, getting prepared to play a dwarf and the injuries he sustained in the battle scenes.
