Rosario Dawson describes her character, Barbara Gordon (a.k.a Batgirl) in The LEGO Batman Movie as “by the book,” because she always obeys the rules. Rosario says Barbara is an overachiever because the two most influential people in her life, her father and Batman, have done such great things. She explains how the comedic element of the film is also important, and says adults will be entertained watching the film due to its clever jokes and innuendos. Rosario admits she was most excited to be part of this film's take on Batman because it remixes all of the stuff she loved as a kid, as well as what she enjoys now as an adult.
