She's Out of My League

Interview with Jay Baruchel (She’s Out of My League)

Can an average Joe and a brainy blonde bombshell find true happiness together? That's the question in the very funny new romantic comedy, She's Out of My League. The film stars Ottawa's own Jay Baruchel as Kirk, an airport security agent who catches the eye of a stunning party planner named Molly (Alice Eve). To be honest, no one can believe it's really happening—especially him! Kirk is ecstatic about this potential new relationship, but when he's constantly being told by his friends and family that he's not good enough for her, he starts to doubt his own self worth.

Baruchel has nothing to feel self-conscious about. The young actor is hitting the big time with several starring roles in 2010. Besides She's Out of My League, he will also soon be heard in How to Train Your Dragon and seen in The Trotsky and The Sorcerer's Apprentice opposite Nicolas Cage.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer caught up with Baruchel in New York to talk about his leading man status, his undying love for Canada and his infamous Maple Leaf tattoo.
