The Lovely Bones

Interview with Michael Imperioli (The Lovely Bones)

The Lovely Bones is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Alice Sebold. Directed by Peter Jackson, it stars Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) as protagonist Susie Salmon, along with Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz as her parents, Jack and Abigail Salmon. Set in the early '70s, the story is told from the perspective of Susie Salmon, who, from heaven, watches her family cope after she is brutally murdered.

Best known for his role as Christopher on the award-winning TV series "The Sopranos," Michael Imperiolli gives a memorable performance in The Lovely Bones as Len Fenerman, the officer assigned to investigate Susie's murder.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer chatted with Imperioli in Los Angeles about working on the film, and what it was like to have Peter Jackson at the helm.
