The Blind Side

Interview: Tim McGraw (The Blind Side)

Award-winning country singer Tim McGraw stars opposite Sandra Bullock in the inspirational, heartwarming new film, The Blind Side. McGraw plays Sean Tuohy, a real life husband and father who, along with his wife and kids, take in a young homeless African American boy named Michael Oher. The Tuohys helped Michael fulfill his potential and at the same time, Oher's presence in their lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faced a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher worked hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle and now plays in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer recently spoke to McGraw in Los Angeles about being a part of this inspirational family’s lives and how being in films helps him as a musician. McGraw also recently released his 10th CD, “Southern Voice,” and discussed with Tribute what a cathartic and personal journey it was for him to write and record it.
