Interview with Todd Phillips (Due Date)

It seems director Todd Phillips can do no wrong. After pulling in over a billion dollars at the box office with his hysterical hit The Hangover, Phillips is busy working on the sequel, The Hangover 2. The genius director has a knack when it comes to comedy, so he decided to team up Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifinaikis for his latest project, Due Date, and the laughs are non-stop. Downey Jr. stars as a high-strung father-to-be who is forced to hitch a ride with an aspiring actor (Galifianakis) on a road trip in order to make it to his child's birth on time.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Phillips in Los Angeles about pairing his two leads, casting the right dog, road trip humor and how things are going on the set of The Hangover 2.
