IMAX: Hubble 3D

Interview with director/producer Toni Myers (Hubble 3D)

One could say that director/producer Toni Myers eats, breathes and sleeps in IMAX. The veteran filmmaker has been working with the format since its inception in 1965. She has produced and directed a number of films, but her latest, Hubble 3D, is her crowning glory.

Through the power of IMAX 3D, Hubble 3D will enable moviegoers to journey through distant galaxies to explore the mysteries of our celestial surroundings, and accompany space-walking astronauts as they attempt the most difficult and important tasks in NASA's history. The film offers an inspiring and unique look into the Hubble Space Telescope's legacy and highlights its profound impact on the way we view the universe and ourselves. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, Hubble 3D was one of Toni Myers' most challenging but gratifying films.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer had the opportunity to chat with Myers in Washington D.C. about the challenges she faced, working with a veteran group of astronauts, hanging with Leonardo DiCaprio and how in a heartbeat, she'd fly into space if someone would let her.
