  Determined to reinvent herself, fashion designer Melanie Carmichael (Reese Witherspoon) trades her "white trash" upbringing in Alabama for the high life as a New York City socialite. But a marriage proposal by boyfriend Jake Perry (Josh Lucas) forces Carmichael to return back to Alabama for closure (including a divorce from her husband), and is ultimately forced to decide which life she wants to lead.
  The romantic comedy also stars Patrick Dempsey (Outbreak), Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown) and Mary Kay Place (Girl, Interrupted, Being John Malkovich). Special features on the DVD include audio commentary with director Andy Tennant, eight deleted scenes, an alternate ending and a music video.

  Some films were just made for DVD. The Bourne Identity, adapted from Robert Ludlum's best-selling novel, is such a flick.
  Matt Damon (Saving Private Ryan, Good Will Hunting) stars as Jason Bourne in this intense action thriller about a man who has no recollection of his identity. But the amnesiac Bourne soon realizes a relentless organization wants him dead, so he convinces a troubled drifter (Franka Potente) to drive him to Paris to help sort out the pieces of this deadly puzzle.
  Special features on the DVD include an alternate ending, deleted scenes, audio commentary by Damon and director Doug Liman, various "making of" documentaries, a photo gallery and additional content accessible via a PC DVD-ROM drive and an Internet connection.
X-Men 1.5

  Pining for more Wolverine but can't wait until the summer for X-Men 2?
  Fret not - Fox Home Entertainment has re-released X-Men on DVD, the popular comic book-turned Hollywood blockbuster from 2000 - with hours of never-before-seen extras to satiate fans of the film.
  Some of the all-new bonus material on the X-Men 1.5 DVD includes a branched enhanced viewing mode, which allows the viewer to see and hear behind-the-scenes commentary during the film; deleted scenes and outtakes; newly-recorded commentary from director Bryan Singer and the cast; and a sneak peek at X-Men 2.
  The DVD also contains a coupon worth up to $12 to be used for Daredevil (starring Ben Affleck), or X-Men 2.

  Last year's critically-acclaimed comedy starring Hugh Grant (Notting Hill) follows the (mis)adventures of a self-absorbed yet charming 38-year-old Brit who learns how to act mature with the help of a friend's 12-year-old son. As a trivia tidbit, actor George Clooney (Ocean's Eleven) was initially offered the lead role as Will Freeman, but turned it down.
  The DVD features a handful of extras, including audio commentary with directors Chris and Paul Weitz, deleted scenes, a short feature, "The Making of About a Boy," movie trailers, music videos, a trivia game and more. About A Boy is based on the best-selling Nick Hornby novel of the same name.
