Clooney was cited as a possible "other man" when Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise split, and then again when Julia Roberts and Benjamin Bratt broke up. However, Clooney denies any involvement with either actress and is keeping a sense of humor about the whole thing, responding: "I couldn't break up Julia and Ben; I was too busy breaking up Tom and Nicole." Apparently Roberts and Clooney had a steamy dance together at the wrap party for Ocean's Eleven, spurring the rumor. Still, given Robert's propensity for falling for her leading men…..

  Speaking of Nicole Kidman, she is reportedly spending her Fiji vacation with her two kids and a guy named Russell Crowe. A tourism official said the two were together - although they arrived on separate days - at the Wakaya Club luxury resort. This actually makes sense. Considering the fact that both Crowe and Kidman had problems in previous relationships due to their mutual desire to reside in Australia, this could just be a match made in... Sydney.

  We hear that Jim Carrey has fallen for his latest co-star. Her name is Laurie Holden… and is it just us, or does she look a whole lot like Lauren Holly - Carrey's second wife? The duo met on the set of Jim's new movie, The Majestic. Carrey met his last girlfriend, Renée Zellweger, on the set of Me, Myself and Irene and met Holly on the set of Dumb and Dumber. Do you see a trend here?

  South African actress Charlize Theron has struck back at the 

perception of Hollywood as shallow - insisting it's just like any other community of people trying to do their jobs. Theron, who started out as a model, is sick of what she believes to be misconceptions about Tinseltown and the acting world in general. Responding to the claim that her life must be one long party, Theron says, "That makes it sound so fake. It's just a career. I've met wonderful people in this industry. Just because it's Hollywood...It's like saying, 'You're South African so you must be racist.' It's very silly."
 
  Kate Winslet may be a good actress and a great mom, but she's definitely not a nun. Kate is denying reports that she is about to take on the role of Mother Teresa in a biographical movie. The rumor was first started by media reports in India. What Winslet is doing is starring in yet another movie with her Quills co-star, Geoffrey Rush. Beginning in September, Winslet and Rush will star in the drama The Magician's Wife.

  Action-comedy star Jackie Chan to star in a Spielberg movie? It's true. Chan's next project is the Steven Spielberg drama Tuxedo. Not that there won't be any martial arts in the film, but the movie will be a little more serious than Shanghai Noon. Chan shoots Tuxedo in Toronto beginning September 1st.

  It's been awhile since we heard from Leonardo DiCaprio. He is currently talking with producers about starring in the drama Catch Me If You Can for director Lasse Hallström, the man behind The Cider House Rules. DiCaprio would play con man Frank Abagnale, the only teenager to ever get on the FBI's 10 most wanted list.

  While a movie based on the life of rapper Eminem may sound a little silly, the project all of a sudden has credibility. That's because director Curtis Hanson has signed on to the project. Hanson was the mastermind behind Wonder Boys and L.A. Confidential. The film will be called Fight Song. As for Eminem, he will also appear in the upcoming comedy The Wash.

  It's no surprise that a sequel to the animated hit Shrek is now in the works. No doubt Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz will return; however, they won't be able to break the bank with contract demands. Most studios take precautions when shooting the original and sign the actors to the sequel in advance, just in case they have a hit on their hands. That way they aren't held hostage by the stars. Meanwhile, Myers is also working on Austin Powers 3, for which he'll receive a reported $30 million U.S. Austin Powers 2 made 10 times that amount worldwide.

  Hollywood appears to be willing to dig up just about anything to make a movie. The latest rumor says that Mark Wahlberg and Chris Rock will play Crockett and Tubbs in a big screen version of Miami Vice. And yes, Don Johnson would star as their boss, played intensely by Edward James Olmos on the hit TV show.

  Star Wars fans are a passionate lot... and many of them were a little disappointed by Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. One fan even went so far as to re-edit the movie, re-dub Jar-Jar's voice and take out some of the sillier scenes. We hear the result (called "The Phantom Edit") is quite dramatic.
