I've got this ache inside me and I thought it was for sex, but it's to rip everything to pieces!" So says Ginger Fitzgerald (Katharine Isabelle) in the first Ginger Snaps.

Well, Ginger's back but, only as an apparition providing words of wisdom for her sister, Brigitte (Emily Perkins) in Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed. When last we saw Brigitte in the original film, she was straddling Ginger with a syringe full of monkshood that she'd plunged into her sister's veins in hopes of reversing Ginger's transformation into a werewolf.

Alas, it was too late for Ginger. And now that Brigitte has shared blood with her sister, it may be too late for her as well. Trying to prevent herself from turning into the horrible creature that her sister became, Brigitte is mistaken for a drug addict and ends up in the Happier Times Rehabilitation Clinic.

Work has already begun on Ginger Snaps - The Prequel.

There she meets a peculiar girl named Ghost (Tatiana Maslany), staying at the clinic with her grandmother who is recovering from burns suffered in a house fire.

Locked up and kept from getting access to the monkshood potion that's her only chance to escape her sister's fate, Brigitte is forced to break out of the clinic, telling the staff "If you keep me, here people are gonna die!"

Producer Steve Hoban said it would have been easy to make another Ginger Snaps movie without Perkins returning to her role, but not nearly as much fun. "She is a really great actress as well as a great person. This was an opportunity to make her character front and center."

Now with Brigitte's transformation accelerating, she must try to escape the malevolent forces at work in her own body, not to mention the deadly creature that is attracted to her as she begins turning into one of his own kind.
