fter a few comedic hits at the box office, actor/rapper Ice Cube decided his next feature project should have a little bit more action. By landing the role of Trey, the fearsome leader of the Reapers motorcycle gang, in the upcoming Joseph Kahn biker film, Torque, O'Shea "Ice Cube" Jackson was certain to get all of the onscreen action he could ever hope for.

"[It's] a lot of speed, big chases, you know, villains, good guys, bad guys with a lot of action in between," Cube told mtv.com. "I'm one of the bad guys."

Martin Henderson (The Ring) plays biker Cary Ford, a man with a past who has returned to his hometown to deal with some unfinished business. Upping the ante for Ford is the notorious drug dealer Henry (played by Matt Schulze), leader of the Hellions biker gang, and rightful owner of a number

of motorcycles Ford skipped town with months ago. To even the score, Henry frames Ford for the murder of Junior, Trey's younger brother, setting a high-octane cat-and-mouse game in motion.

Produced by Neil Moritz, who helmed the wildly successful 2001 blockbuster, The Fast and the Furious, Torque is geared up to deliver every bit as much action and excitement expected from a motorcycle film, coupled with a very distinct new viewpoint provided by Kahn. As a music video director making his feature film debut, Kahn is known for his hip style, as seen in Eminem's cartoonish "Without Me," and Moby's, "We Are All Made of Stars".

Kahn and Moritz managed to land Monet Mazur, (40 Days and 40 Nights) an up-and-coming actress, along with Jaime Pressly (Not Another Teen Movie) and Christina Milian (Love Don't Cost a Thing) to add some female flavor to their steady cast. Pressly told about.com that Kahn was a deciding factor in her decision to take the role of bad girl China in the film. "He has really, really great vision and style. I think his style is what's going to be so great about the film in general, because it's visually gorgeous."

Henderson, along with the rest of the cast, had to train intensively in order to be able to ride the incredible custom-made machines seen in the film. Portraying a character on the run from an FBI agent who wants to arrest you for murder and a biker gang leader who wants revenge is a dangerous job, as Henderson reportedly sustained and worked through some minor injuries during shooting. "It's going to be a kick-ass movie, with stunts that you've pretty much never seen before and a visual style that will just floor you," said Kahn, who had turned down the movie twice until he started to imagine it as a chase/action film. "It's a hell of a movie," Cube told mtv.com from the set. "It's The Fast and the Furious and XXX times 10."

When Torque hits theaters, the same instructions first given to the actors apply to the audience as well: stare straight ahead, and hold on tight.
