In 1930s Los Angeles, Arturo Bandini (
Colin Farrell), a son of Italian-American immigrants, dreams of becoming a famous novelist and marrying a beautiful blonde, and Camilla Lopez (
Salma Hayek), a Mexican woman, longs to marry a WASP and shed her last name.
In a time when Anglo-Chicano relations hang by tattered threads, Bandini and Camilla collide with one another, fighting the city and themselves to make their dreams come true.

Idina was way better than anyone else. She is so talented. She deserves an Oscar, and another Tony. We saaw her Idina in London.
Saw this with no expectations or preconsieved ideas about what this movie was all about. No preview screenings were given so I went in blind. This film was nothing to complex and in a whole, the acting was decent. The sets and costumes were bang on and it was a believeable story,from personal experience, so I may be a bit biased. Wouldn`t rush out to see this, but don`t let it pass you by.
