Dark Blue Movie Synopsis
When the LAPD’s elite Special Investigations Squad (SIS) is assigned a high-profile quadruple homicide, veteran detective Eldon Perry (Russell) takes the case. Known for his tough street tactics and a fiery temper, Eldon also tutors rookie Bobby Keough (Speedman) in the grim realities of police intimidation and corruption. While navigating the tumultuous neighborhoods of South Central L.A., Perry and Keough must track down the cold-blooded killers as well as face their own demons – demons that prove more ruthless than the criminals they pursue.
Not very good. Badly writen, and Kurt Russel`s over-acting gets very annoying after 30 mins. it is a complete waste of time.
This movie shows as most of Kurts movies show how well he can transform his personna, the tough cop who tackled his part so well and played the script to perfection leaving us feeling his deep emotions over decisions he wrongly made and showing how cops can relate to cases in right and wrong methods. Kurt is a fantastic actor who in my opinion has played every part he has undertaken to the highest of perfection
Harsh reality which seems to capture some of the meaning behind American inner city hostilities. Not your typical happy moral comic cop wasting bad guys scenerios that dominate theatre.
