Mr. and Mrs. Fox (George Clooney and Meryl Streep) live an idyllic home life with their son Ash (Jason Schwartzman) and visiting young nephew Kristofferson (Eric Anderson). But after twelve years of quiet domesticity, the bucolic existence proves too much for Mr. Fox's wild animal instincts. Soon he slips back into his old ways as a sneaky chicken thief and in doing so, endangers not only his beloved family, but the whole animal community. Trapped underground without enough food to go around, the animals band together to fight against the evil FarmersBoggis, Bunce and Beanwho are determined to capture the audacious, fantastic Mr. Fox at any cost. In the end, he uses his natural instincts to save his family and friends.
Based on the best-selling children's book by Roald Dahl.
I had high hopes for this movie, but was really disappointed as were my 2 kids. Sure, there were a few cute laughs, but overall, this was little better than a sock puppet show.
We had stayed at the theatre to see another movie because A Christmas Carol put such a bad taste in our mouths. I am glad we did. My daughter who is 8 liked this movie. It kept me awake which A Christams Carol did not. There were some behavioural lessons here for my daughter's sake - kudoos to that.
This movie is everything it says it is! Unbelievable stop animation. Story is hilarious for children and adults, and the music will have you humming on the way out of the theater. I took my four year old and he loved all of it!
