The dangerous quest for artistic greatness chosen by Truman Capote (
Toby Jones), accompanied by lifelong friend and Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Nelle Harper Lee (
Sandra Bullock) is outlined as he travels to Kansas to investigate the brutal murder of the Clutter family.
Throughout this six-year journey, the eccentric, hilarious and cunning Capote is definitively revealed: to satisfy his insatiable ambition, Truman consorted with his “Swans,” the glamorous ladies who ruled the upper strata of New York society, just as easily as he regaled wide-eyed Kansans with tales of Bogart and Brando.
A compelling study of the complex and tortured relationship that resulted between Truman Capote and convicted murderer Perry Smith (
Daniel Craig), a bond formed in a prison cell that brought the destruction of Capote’s career, as well as his soul.
Based on the book “Truman Capote: In Which Various Friends, Enemies, Acquaintances and Detractors Recall His Turbulent Career” by George Plimpton.
eh....blah.......left the theatre after 10min
I havent seen this movie and i`m not going to, but i did see the trailer and i have never seen such a terrible a regurrgitation attempt of a movie (and yes i can tell by the trailer). i saw "capote" and even that wasn`t very good. How can directors keep getting the green light for garbage like this? I`m only upset that the new james bond sank so low as to be inthis movie. The following box office results will only prove my point. Stop polluting hollywood! Thank you
