Brooklyn, 1986: Bernard (
Jeff Daniels), an academic and author, and his restless wife Joan, (
Laura Linney) an up-and-coming writer, have given up on their marriage. Their two sons Walt (Jesse Eisenberg), 16, and Frank (Owen Kline), 12, are left to grapple with their confusing and conflicted emotions.
This movie was awful!!! Boring, boring, boring and the end.. well there was no end, the movie just finished without any resolution. Don`t spend your money on this turkey!
The pacing of the film was flawless-enough time to ponder, but not enough time to wander. Jeff Daniels was believeable as the shallow "dense" father and the rest of the case was up to the task of matching his performance. Thanks for an honest film.
