A Stone's Throw Movie Synopsis

Jack (Kris Holden-Ried) is an American photojournalist, who exposes companies that are polluting. After an eight-year absence, he returns to a seaside town that lies on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. He’s here to see his sister Olivia (Kathryn MacLellan), a single mom who lives an insulated life with her two children, including her teenage son Thomas (Aaron Webber) who worships Jack. But why is Jack back? Olivia is suspicious, especially when Jack starts asking questions about a newly opened factory that’s providing work for the community. Old wounds -- and new ones -- come bubbling to the surface.

Meanwhile, Jack falls for Olivia’s friend Lia (Lisa Ray), also a single mom. As the romance heats up, Jack begins to question his own actions -- both past and present. But it may be too late to stop Thomas, who is following in Jack’s footsteps.

Great acting by entire cast. I wouldn't have continued to watch it if I didn't know one of the actors. It was a bit slow.
