Aurore Movie Synopsis
Despised by her new stepmother and neglected by her father, Aurore dies at a young age. Both her stepmother and Télesphore, her father, end up tried and convicted.
Based on a real-life story from the 1920s, Aurore is one of the most moving stories in Quebec culture.
I watched this 'horrifying' movie last nighton CBC. Chilled me to the bone. Superb acting with all characters, especially the horrid stepmother, she made you hate the character. I felt heartsick at the plight of the children involved. Incredible movie to show a sad,sad,life that we don't know existed.
