Being Julia Movie Synopsis

In London in 1938, Julia Lambert is at her peak, physically and professionally, but her successful theatrical career and her marriage to handsome impresario Michael Gosselyn (Jeremy Irons) have become stale and unfulfilling. She longs for novelty, excitement, sparks. Enter Tom Fennell (Shaun Evans), a younger man who claims to be Julia's greatest fan. Finding his ardor irresistible, she decides that romance is the best antidote to a mid-life crisis and embarks on a passionate affair. Life becomes more daring and exciting, until Julia's young lover callously tries to relegate her to a supporting role. But on opening night, Julia reveals that she is a more formidable actress than anyone ever imagined.

she is a great actress! Beaufitul, charm and awsome! Her role is cool! and she presented it very very well!!!! OH I love her ;)

Annette Bening pulled a stunning performance through and through... never a dull moment, Beautifully done.

I loved it, Annette Bening was superb, and I can`t imagine anyone doing the role better, so I can understand giving her a role as a Brit, but why cast Canadian Bruce Greenwood as a Brit, (requiring an accent) and Shaun Evans (from England) as an American (requiring an accent). It would`ve made more sense to cast a Canadian or American as an American, since it was filmed in Canada. Why import someone who has to fake an accent? I had a feeling while watching it that he wasn`t really American, and so when I looked it up, wasn`t surprised to find out I was right.
