Three beautiful girls—Violet Wister (Greta Gerwig), Rose (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and Heather (Carrie MacLemore)—set out to revolutionize life at a grungy American university by forming a group which strives to help depressed students by advising them about good hygiene and teaching them musical dance numbers. After welcoming new student Lily (Analeigh Tipton) into their group, the girls become romantically involved with a series of men who threaten the girls' friendship and sanity.
