Dancer In The Dark Movie Synopsis

Selma (Björk) emigrates with her son to America from Europe in 1964. After arriving she works night and day in a factory to save her son from a disease she suffers from which will inevitably leave her blind. She needs enough money to provide him with an operation, but when a desperate neighbor falsely accuses her of stealing his savings, her hope for the future plummets. To escape from the harsh world and cheer her spirits, Selma goes to the movie theatre to watch classic Hollywood musicals.

a very beautiful film. Bjork is amazing. the film is very sad to watch but at the same time it`s an experience. well shot on digital videoa nd the cinematography is great. subject matter is tough but bjork handled the charcters well and i felt sympathy and scared for her. a well made film about a determined and strong woman.

favorite movie seen it 15 times because all my friends can`t see it alone
