Dernier Harem, Le Movie Synopsis
After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, an old servant tells a tale about the
concubine Safiye (Gillian) to distract a group of women. Safiye was the Sultan's
favorite concubine, and later became his official wife. She gained power and
influence over time, and when the Empire fell, her husband escaped to Europe,
while she remained to fight for the rights of the concubines under the new order.
