Down In The Delta Movie Synopsis
Award-winning writer Maya Angelou makes her directorial debut in this tale of a mother of two children who lives with her own mother in Chicago and is succumbing to the endemic neighborhood problems of drugs and alcohol. To rescue her daughter and grandchildren before it's too late, the woman's mother pawns her most valuable possession so that she can move the entire family from Chicago to the Mississippi delta where she was born.
