Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi) quits working as an attorney at her father's law firm to become a mediator instead. While she may be good at what she does, her skills are really put to the test as she tries to balance her unconventional cases with the complicated relationships in her life, like with her stepmother/boss and with the Assistant District Attorney/her soon-to-be ex-husband.
