In Vancouver’s notorious Downtown Eastside, Art Frankel (
Jay Baruchel), a hustler and general lay-about, is head over heels in love with the luminous Cody Wesson (
Sarah Lind). When she falls into a coma from an apparent overdose, it is up to Art to seek out the one person who offers him any kind of hope: his homeless friend Harvey – and the time machine he found in a dumpster.
Desperate to reach her, Art suspends disbelief and embarks on a quest through time and space deep into Cody’s past. After several humiliating attempts to figure out where things went wrong, it slowly begins to dawn on him that the real problem in her life might just be him. What ensues are a series of increasingly reckless attempts to avoid the one thing he fears most – sacrificing his profound love for Cody in exchange for her life.

Canadian Connection: Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia with a mostly Canadian cast.
This is a life changeing movie. All teenagers should be required to watch this movie. This movie could save lives.
I loved this movie. It made me ask myself "At what point would I go back and change things that went wrong with my high school boyfriend that ended traumatically?" I know at what point for me but maybe there was a different point for him. Anyway, the movie got me thinking and took me to a place that I really don't like to go but it's self examination that gets us to a better point of view.
I loved this movie, and rarely do I ever say that. It was so down-to-earth, and real. It's completely legit, showing the lengths someone will go to out of love. It's pure genius. Great work.
