Shibuya, Japan. Izumi is entirely devoted to her husband, a famous romance novelist who's away from home 12 hours per day. To conquer her boredom, the beautiful young woman accepts a job in a supermarket, but finds she has no talent for customer service. She meets Mitsuko, a woman from a modelling agency who recruits her. Reluctant at first to pose nude, as well as to simulate erotic acts, Izumi finally gives in, finding the experience liberating. With Mitsuko's encouragement, she goes a step further and becomes a prostitute, all without her husband's knowledge. Meanwhile, as Izumi flourishes in her double life, a serial killer is murdering prostitutes.
