Hardball Movie Synopsis
Conor O'Neill (Reeves) likes to gamble on sports games, but the bad habit leads to an empty pocket. When he askes his best friend, Tricky Tobin (Hawkes) to lend him some money to pay off his debts, Tricky refuses. He will, however, help Conor with his money troubles if he agrees to coach a corporately sponsored youth baseball team. Suddenly, Conor is thrown into the bowels of Chicago and trying to mould a team of underprivileged, yet street-smart kids, and spending time in the company of their dedicated young teacher Ms. Wilkes (Lane).
Based on the book Hardball: A Season in the Projects by Daniel Coyle.
A very good film. Keanu Reeves was very good and the kids were excellent.
Hardball is a film that by the middle of it, it starts to pull at your heartstrings a bit. I think a lot of females will really enjoy it, and this is one keanu reeves movie you won`t dislike.
