I Am Dina Movie Synopsis
In 19th century Norway, young Dina lives happily with her mother and her father. But when she causes a terrible accident that costs her mother’s life, her father doesn’t want anything to do with her any more. Isolated and unloved, Dina grows up wild and headstrong, refusing to talk and unable to read. Her father’s friend, Jacob (Depardieu), convinces him to hire a tutor for the girl. She begins to talk and blossom through her lessons. When she reaches adulthood, Dina agrees to marry Jacob. But when he has an accident and dies, Dina reverts to her wild state, refusing to talk again. Soon after, she discovers she is pregnant.
This was a great movie, a thought process which was unbeleivable. Heart really shows in this one
