I Want to See Movie Synopsis

Traveling to Beirut in the Autumn of 2006 for a gala reception, French actress Catherine Deneuve tells her security guard: "I want to see." See what? Marks and scars left by the recent offensive by the Israeli army on the Lebanese capital, when it tried to flush out the leaders of Hezbollah. With Rabih Mroué, a local movie star for a guide, Deneuve visits the city, then goes with him to the South to see what remains of the village where he grew up. Barely two hours into the trip, a friendship is born between the two actors, while the cameras follow them.
