Je t'aime... moi non plus Movie Synopsis

During the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, actress Maria de Medeiros explored the relationship between the filmmakers and critics. To do this, she interviewed several filmmakers including Atom Egoyan, Elia Suleiman, Christophe Honoré, David Cronenberg, Xavier Beauvois, Manoel de Oliveira, Wim Wenders and Pedro Almodóvar, as well as critics from around the world, particularly those who write for Libération, Variety, Inrockuptibles, the Los Angeles Times, Positif and Les Cahiers du cinéma. In addition to investigating the love/hate relationships between the artists and those who evaluate their work, Medeiros sought understanding of film criticism in general and the way in which it is perceived by the filmmakers and the critics themselves.
