John Carpenter's Ghosts Of Mars Movie Synopsis

In a dusty frontier mining town on Mars, 175 years in the future, a small squad of police have been sent to transfer an extremely dangerous criminal, Desolation Williams, back to the main administrative Martian city, Chryse. The heroine, Melanie (Henstridge), is second in command of this squad. What no one realizes is that mining operations have uncovered --and disturbed-- the ruins of an ancient Martian civilization and unleashed a kind of spiritual doomsday defense system that will destroy any foreign presence inhabiting Mars. When the cops arrive at this remote outpost, no one but the criminals locked away in the local jail have survived... And the "Martian Ghosts" are determined not to let them get away.

wow...it frightens me that even a single person on this planet or mars for that matter saw any redeeming qualities in this movie....perhaps the worst acting i've ever seen.....however difficult it is to deliver the worst script ever written....the real mystery is how could carpenter have directed a masterpiece like "The Thing" and everything else he's attempted is complete trash

I love most John Carpenter movies. "The Thing" was great. However, this movie Ghosts was just about the worst movie I`ve ever seen. Totally ridiculous content and stupid premise + awful, awful acting. On a scale of one to ten - I give it a negative 20 and thats being generous.
