A group of very different individuals with different ideas of how to face the end come together as the world is expected to end in six hours at the turn of the century.
If you haven't seen this film yet, run out and try and find a copy. It is probably one of the best films out there - no stipulations - not best "Canadian" film, not best "indie" film and not best "end of the world" film. I don't want to spoil anything - but the rooftop scene between Don McKellar and Sandra Oh - heartwrenching.
An theater major and genious director at my college did a stage adaptation of this movie. It was amazingly good!
I am still haunted by this movie months after I saw it on IFC for the first time. I was so moved I got the DVD and the movie soundtrack. This movie tears at the soul of human nature and exposes the worst and the best of the human race. This isn`t a move for someone who thrives on action or is easily bored, this movie is for people who think and share empathy for the plight of other humans in desperate circumstances.
