A man with a fear of water after an unfortunate seafaring incident finds himself stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with his girlfriend.
Kristofferson also appeared in Lone Star under
John Sayles' direction and has since appeared in seven other films after being absent from the screen for a while. Expect the unexpected with this film as Sayles is anything but a conventional storyteller. His last film, Men With Guns, was almost entirely in Spanish.
I loved it. Very different with a most unusual ending. The scenes with the young troubled daughter reading the diary of a long-gone girl a member of a family who lived in a desolate place, were very poignant and quite wonderful. I enjoyed this movie immensely. The soundtrack is great too.
