Christine (
Miranda July), a would-be artist and full-time cab driver falls in love at first sight with Richard, a shoe salesman (
John Hawkes), who is going through a divorce from his wife while helping to raise his two sons.
absolutely brilliant. not many director/writers could make everyday life so profound and absorbing, without slipping into pretentiousness. the film is uplifting and hilarious, tender and touching. such a refreshing break from hollywooden `entertainment`.
completly fell in love with this most excellent film. i now have another movie crush, the wonderful miranda july. how fantastic of a movie about life and love and figuring out who we`re supposed to be and who we`re supposed to be with. really well done. going to see it again!
