MirrorMask Movie Synopsis
Helena (Stephanie Leonidas), a 15-year-old girl working for her family circus, wishes—quite ironically—that she could run away from the circus and join real life. But such is not to be the case, as she finds herself on a strange journey into the Dark Lands, a fantastic landscape filled with giants, monkeybirds and dangerous sphinxes. On her quest to return home, Helena searches for the Mirrormask, an object of enormous power, which is her only hope of escaping the Dark Lands.
Brilliant...it had beautiful imagery and a wacky set of characters. The ideas in it were great too, and it was a very nice fantastical sort of magical film. It also is sort of twisted.
Well worth the wait to see. Great cast, and story, another masterpiece by the Jim Henson Company. Follows well in the footsteps of Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. 5 stars!
