In the small town of New Waterford, Nova Scotia, two teenage girls become unlikely friends. One is
Mooney (Balaban), a native who yearns to get out of town so she can pursue her dream of writing. The
other is Lou (Spencer-Nairn), a tough boxer recently moved there from the Bronx who thinks she's found
the perfect place.
