Walter (Ashton Kutcher) is a young man trying to deal with the death of his sister. After getting a job as a wedding planner, he meets Linda (Michelle Pfeiffer), a beautiful older woman with emotional wounds that are similar to his own. As both Linda and Walter try to cope with the pain and frustration of their loss, the two bond—their shared tragedies spawning an unlikely and beautiful romance.
