Twenty years after
The Talented Mr. Ripley, Tom Ripley (Malkovich) is now wealthy,
married and living in France. When a friend asks for his help with a murder, Ripley persuades a terminally ill family man (Scott)
to perform the hit in exchange for a large sum of money that would provide for his future widow and child. He agrees, unaware that
he is simply a pawn in Ripley's intricate game of lies, revenge and murder.
