Rock of Ages Movie Synopsis

It's 1987, the height of the hair-metal craze. Drew Boley (Diego Boneta) has left his Detroit home to make it in Los Angeles as a rock star. At the same time, Sherrie Christian (Julianne Hough) has moved from her small Midwestern town to become an actress, but when they meet at the Bourbon Room, they begin a love affair far greater than their dreams of stardom.

A film adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical.

the film looks great, but the music sucks, which is a pretty big obstacle for a musical to overcome.
